Dutchland Pastry Fundraiser is now going on- this is replacing butter braids as a fundraiser. Order forms are available at the desk and are due back on Nov. 19th. Please have individuals make checks out to you and then turn in the order form with one check written out to the SSD Booster Club. Contact Rhonda Nelson at email@example.com with questions.
Warm-up and t-shirt orders will be due Nov. 20th. All dancers will need a new PACC Team t-shirt (they are a new style). Levels 3 and up are required to have a PACC Team jacket (either the old style or the new style). Pants are optional for all dancers. Warm-up sizers are at the studio for you to try on. If anyone has old warm-ups that don’t fit anymore and you would like to donate them to the studio for sizers we would really appreciate it!
Attention dancers on levels 3-7 teams- Your teams are eligible to qualify for nationals June 27-30 in Bloomington. We will be taking the top 5 scoring teams (Levels 3-7 only) and the top 10 solo/duo/trio routines (Levels 1-7 only). We need to know who would attend nationals if you qualify so that we do not consider routines for the top spots if you are unable to attend nationals. This is an additional competition and therefore adds an additional expense so it is always optional. For teams, it would include 4 hours of additional practice the weeks of June 10 & 17 (most likely 4 lessons that are 1 hour each, with 2 each week). These lessons would be mandatory and cannot be missed (so if you are planning to be gone for a June vacation during these weeks you would not be able to attend nationals). For solos/duos/trios we would require two 30-minute lessons during these two weeks. For both teams and solos/duos/trios we would ask you for any activities you are already committed to or times you cannot practice during these two weeks when you have to make your commitment in May and we do our very best to schedule around everyone. The only difference with nationals practices is that if we cannot schedule around your other activities you are still expected to be at nationals practice and are not excused for missing. Four hours is not a lot of time to prepare for a national competition so we must have everyone there. Immediately following DX Eclipse in May you will be asked to commit and pay for nationals if you qualify. Cost will be $115 per person for each team (includes fee for lesson time) and $130 per solo or $80 per duo/trio (does not include fee for lesson time since you may have punches left already). Please let Suzy know directly via text at 218-390-2837 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you DO NOT wish to attend nationals. If you plan to attend if you qualify you do not need to let us know.
Attention Solos/Duos/Trios- We will be having our Solo Recital on Feb. 2nd at the old Chief Theatre. Please let the desk staff know if you will be performing or not so that we can plan out the day. We have so many routines that we will be splitting them into two shows unless there are a lot of you who don’t plan to perform. We will make sure that each dancer only has to perform in one show.
Also, for those of you in levels 8-10, we need to know who would like to attend nationals. This year is a completely open nationals for levels 8-10 so you do not need to qualify, you just need to pay the nationals fee. You will be required to have at least 1 lesson in June prior to nationals per routine you are taking. Cost is $130 per solo, $80 per duo/trio per person. Does not include cost for the required lesson. Deadline to sign up will be Dec. 20th.
