Our mission here at Shooting Stars Dance is to provide the highest quality, all-inclusive dance education that we can. Our students are not only learning dance steps and technique, but also about their body and how it moves, music and rhythm, emotions and communication, responsibility and dedication, and how to belong and contribute to a community.

Brain-Based Learning

Our younger dancers are receiving an all-inclusive curriculum focused on brain-based learning. The concepts that they are working on in dance class will help them build a strong foundation for academic skills such as reading and math. We are helping them to develop all areas of their brains at a time where brain development happens more rapidly than any other time in their lives.

beyond the stage

Our dancers in levels 3 and up are learning valuable leadership skills that will benefit them far beyond the dance classroom or stage. They are learning how to effectively communicate, the importance of contributing to your community, compassion for others, creativity, discipline, goal setting, integrity, loyalty, responsibility, self-esteem, and teamwork. This mentality of teaching our students skills that they will use throughout their lives is what sets us apart from other youth programs.

Set up for success

It is proven through scientific research that students who commit to an activity for at least 12 months or more, are more successful later in life. This is why we offer a 12-month curriculum. We hold weekly classes throughout the year with an annual show in early June and short breaks in December/January, June and August.
